As art director, Shibo LI helps the creative signature of the Maison to evolve, exploring the possibilities offered by patternmaking and developing new silhouettes.
His approach is in keeping with the dp studio philosophy: starting from the mastery of construction to open up new possibilities for creation.
Evolving a language
Volumes, proportions, lines, seamlines and details all become fields of experimentation. The art direction of dp studio does not seek to freeze an aesthetic. It seeks to make a language evolve, to confront technical mastery with trends, with materials and with new ways of thinking about the garment.
This is how a world takes shape in which the rigour of patternmaking meets creative research.

The path of a designer
Since childhood, Shibo LI has dreamed of working in fashion as a stylist-designer.
In 2010, he arrived in France to train in the fashion professions and joined the École de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, from which he graduated in 2014.
His professional path then led him to Christian Dior and then to Maison Margiela, where he developed his experience of creation and of the world of the great fashion houses.
He then joined dp studio as stylist and partner, alongside Dominique PELLEN. Together, they develop the stylistic identity and the image of the Maison, while supporting its development in the Chinese market, where demand is particularly strong for training and for the passing on of the technical know-how of fashion.
Today, Shibo LI helps the creative world of dp studio to evolve by bringing creation, patternmaking and a contemporary eye into dialogue.
