A house born of an encounter
Founded by Dominique PELLEN, designer, stylist-patternmaker and teacher, the house was born of an encounter between long experience of creation, the technical standards of high-end garments and a deep desire to pass knowledge on.
Over several decades devoted to fashion, from his collaborations with great houses to his experience of creation and teaching, Dominique PELLEN came to one essential conviction:
“mastering patternmaking gives the designer a new freedom”.
That conviction is now at the heart of dp studio.

Understanding the body, volumes, proportions, lines, balance and the principles of construction takes you beyond simply reproducing a model, towards imagining, transforming and creating.
Our approach combines precision, method and rigour with a resolutely creative vision of the garment. We stand for demanding patternmaking, inspired by high-end standards yet open to experimentation and personal research.
