Thanks to this technical file, the making of a tailored sleeve constructed with excess value (to be worked in with an iron) is demonstrated and this useful base, applicable to all sizes, can be used for the creation of many different models. The file has been compiled with clarity and rigor so that everyone can easily approach it. The dp studio method’s precise written instructions are illustrated by detailed sketches for a full understanding. This tailored sleeve is made in the classical manner, starting from the neckline of the tailored jacket base pattern (3 pieces) but other bases can also be used. You will learn how to define the exact amount of excess value to apply to this sleeve. For optimal comfort, the sleeve is made up of two pieces (the upper and under sleeve) and both the elbow and crook seams will be elaborated (maintaining and easing in excess value). Depending on the piece you wish to create, the following technical files can also be used: The technical file of the tailored jacket base pattern The technical files of other tailored jacket types (1.5 pieces, 2 pieces…) The technical file of the tailored collar The technical file of the shawl collar The technical file of lining (for the tailored jacket base pattern).
