PDF base patterns — Sleeves

The dummy’s arm

Thanks to this pattern for the stuffed arm, you will be able to learn how to make sleeves using the draping method by constructing an arm in volume (filled with kapok) that you then fix onto a dummy. It can be really useful when constructing or controlling a sleeve, and is available from size 8 to size 20 (UK sizes). It comprises an upper and under arm, represented without seam allowances for an easier adaptation if required. Put together with all the rigor and precision of a top-of-the-range pattern, this dp studio pattern is to be worked in compliance with a predefined set of measurements.
