You can make either a straight coat or jacket using this pattern. There are many details like the tailored-style collar and the classic quartet of pockets on the front. The sleeves have been constructed in saddle-sleeve style with a yoke highlighting the curved shape of the shoulder. A band of fabric at the waist is for belting the coat and an off-centre zip closes it. This coat/jacket is entirely lined and dense fabrics with a certain hold are recommended to reinforce the strict and assertive spirit of the piece.
