The glove sleeve is considered a top-of-the-range sleeve as it is mainly constructed on the true bias for a certain kind of volume and controlled movement. However, working on the bias is a difficult operation to approach and can lead to fabric distortion when a piece is worn too often.
It is possible to use this pattern, available in sizes 8 to 20 (UK sizes) directly and cut it in fabric or use the pattern as a base for transformation purposes. To simplify the transformation process if required, we have not included the seam allowances on the outline. Once the base has been transformed, it is up to you to choose all the elements needed to complete it (button loops, tab…) depending on the style aimed at and the fabric used.
Without changing the predefined size, this base can be used with the following:
The bodice base pattern
The dress patterns (flared, with shoulder strap seams, sheath with princess seams, cut at the waist).
